♠ 掛け軸 関南北東西通活路 明道師 Hanging Scroll

表千家の先生から譲ってもらった掛け軸です。 どこに向かっても、道は必ずひらける。 「関南北東西通活路」は、玉龍寺住職・明道師による禅の境地を表す一幅です。 「関」は関所や転機、人生における節目を指します。 「南北東西通活路」とは、どの方向にも生きる道が開かれているという意味。 困難や迷いの中にあっても、自ら関わり、決断し、一歩を踏み出すことで、 必ず活路が見いだせるという深い教えを含んでいます。 静謐な中に力強さを湛えた書は、見る者の心を鎮め、前向きな力を与えてくれます。 “Kan Nanboku Tōzai Tsū Katsuro” Calligraphy by Master Meidō, Abbot of Gyokuryū-ji Temple “Wherever you go, the path to life is always open.” This phrase expresses a profound Zen teaching written by Master Meidō. “Kan” (関) symbolizes a turning point or barrier in life. “Nanboku Tōzai Tsū Katsuro” means that a path forward—katsuro, the living way—can be found in all directions: north, south, east, and west. The teaching conveys that even when facing obstacles or uncertainty, by engaging fully with life, making clear decisions, and taking the first step, new paths will open before us.
